Patient Portal Change Lead

We are supporting an NHS Trust embarking on a significant Patient Portal programme and are looking to appoint an experienced Patient Portal Change Lead to drive adoption, engagement and organisational readiness throughout the implementation.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving the digital patient experience by leading the people side of change across one of the Trust's most visible digital transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the Change Management strategy for the Patient Portal programme.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across clinical, operational and corporate teams.
  • Build strong relationships with senior clinical leaders, operational managers and programme stakeholders.
  • Design and deliver communication and engagement plans to maximise adoption.
  • Assess organisational readiness and develop mitigation plans where required.
  • Work closely with Training, PMO, Digital, Clinical and Supplier teams to ensure successful deployment.
  • Identify, recruit and support local Change Champions across the Trust.
  • Track adoption metrics and benefits realisation following go-live.
  • Support go-live planning and post-implementation optimisation activities.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience delivering Change Management within NHS Digital Transformation programmes.
  • Previous experience supporting the implementation of a Patient Portal (e.g. Oracle Health/Cerner, Epic MyChart, MEDITECH, DrDoctor, Zesty or similar).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across executive, clinical and operational audiences.
  • Experience developing communication, engagement and adoption strategies.
  • Knowledge of NHS programme governance and transformation methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.

Desirable

  • Prosci, APMG Change Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working on EPR or digital transformation programmes.
  • Understanding of benefits realisation and adoption measurement.
  • Experience supporting large-scale NHS go-lives.
